9999 Lives
Bye! But not bye!

The site is moving. It’s been fun, and I certainly hope any followers move with me to the new digs here which is http://beaglebot.tumblr.com/ aka Life on the Moon.

The move is coming from a couple of reasons. Life on the Moon has taken on its own life outside of the project it was started as for a story. This site, and various others started to take on their own lives as well. At some point I started crossposting myself. I decided there wasn’t any need. Posting to the sub-blogs takes about a minute to get everything set up, posting to Life on the Moon takes five seconds, and that’s including the time to click the like button. When the ques are running 36 posts a day, after a whil it just stops being worth the time.

I’ve never really blogged except for myself and my friends anyway. Most of them follow the main blog, reblog from it, and I reblog from them. I can’t imagine they wouldn’t like one place to go as well

The same pictures will be there that are here now. There will also me more! How much more? Well, like two things more.

Hope to see you at the new site

Daily Gratitude: Even though my heart keeps breaking don’t you know that I’ll be waiting here for you.

Having your three year old tell you he wants to come back to daddy’s house and having to tell him he can’t yet when all you get to see him is an hour a week will shatter and scatter your heart like cherry blossoms. And that’s my gratitude, that I at least get to hear the words.

Sigh.
The Tumblr ‘Like’ Dilemma

nancysun:

Do you ever find yourself relating to a post about something generally sucky, like

  • Ouch! I have a boo boo
  • I feel sad, angry, frustrated
  • Something in my life sucks

And you gravitate towards the <3 button but then you’re like, wait, I don’t really want to like their state of misery and despair…I more want to give them a hug or pat on the back or something.

And then, not <3 it?

I feel like this often enough that the desire for a hang-in-there-buddy button needs to be addressed.

Just sayin’.

This is why I didn’t especially like the like button. Reblogging shows more effort and can provide better feedback
